The
Actor
A
hulking actor of intense characterizations equally at home
in villainy and sympathetic roles, Ron Perlman is perhaps
best recalled as the poignant yet heroic half-human, half-animal
Vincent in "Beauty and the Beast" (CBS, 1987-90).
Beginning
his acting career in the 70s, he worked extensively on stage
in New York and the East Coast. He made his off-Broadway debut
as the Emperor in "The Architect and the Emperor of Assyria"
in 1976 at the famed LaMaMa Theatre. Perlman made his Broadway
debut in "Teibele and Her Demon" in 1979.
